Details:
Students will learn an array of Watercolor techniques through painting various subjects in Watercolor. Each painting will be completed in 2 weeks, including brief demos, instruction by award winning Watercolorist, Carol Z. Brody, and followed by a formal, individual critique. Transfer & Refund Policy: A $10.00 per participant/activity administrative fee will be deducted for each transfer/refund. If you are unable to participate you must notify the office before the second activity/class to receive your refund. No refunds are issued after the 2nd class. No refunds are available once the activity/class is over. A documented medical emergency can be considered for refund after an activity/class has ended.


Students are responsible for all materials needed for this class. Please see front desk for a list of supplies that include:
Paper - arches 140Ib. cold press only, size 22x30. At least one half sheet per session. Can use reverse sides. Extra paper for practie recommended.
Brushes (short handles, soft hairs) - 1 1/2in flat brush (synthetic, Robert Simmons Skyflow recommended), 1in flat (synthetic or combo), 1/2in flat synthetic, #8 or #10 round (synthetic or combo), #6 or #5 round synthetic or combo), rigger (#3 or #4) synthetic or combo (aka striper).
Palette - Covered, rectangular plastic John Pike-type palette, with wells around periphery
Paints: Non-staining paints, LIGHTFAST PIGMENTS preferred, highly rated. Please bring colors such as Ultramarine blue, Prussian or Thalo blue, Cerulean blue, Yellow ochre, Cadmium yellow light (or pale, or Lemon yellow), Cadmium red light, Permanent Alizarian crimson, Burnt umber, Burnt sienna, Paynes grey, & Thalo green.
Masonite Board: 16x23 (Home Depot will cut to correct size) & 4 bull dog clips
Misc Items: 1 small natural sponge (Sea Silk recommended), spray bottle mister, large water container, scissors, soft old toothbrush, masking tape, pencil and kneaded eraser, credit card, paper towels
